Dear ALLPLAN Users,

I would like to personally thank all users here on the forum today for an incredible 2020. The whole world is experiencing unprecedented challenges this year, touching virtually all areas of our lives. We know that you, our customers and users, are often directly affected as well. We, as your software partner, are trying to adapt as best we can to the new challenges facing our customers by driving digitalization in all areas and creating appropriate solutions.

In particular, our digital offerings, from online trainings and seminars to our cloud products Bimplus and Allplan Share, have seen a rapid increase in usage, where we also learned a lot and which has been an inspiration for us to continuously improve.

A particularly noteworthy highlight of the year was the release of Allplan 2021 in the fall. This version shows a big step into the future of Allplan:

- Significantly increased performance, so that even the enormous, highly detailed BIM models of the future can be processed with pleasure
- Efficient team collaboration across locations, thanks to the close connection between Allplan and Bimplus, e.g. also for collaboration between Allplan and various structural analysis programs via the SCAI AutoConverter
- Easier to use thanks to the integration of more content (BIM Easy)

Also clearly worth mentioning is the news that the companies ALLPLAN and Precast Engineering are merging with immediate effect and we are looking forward to being able to offer our customers a unique, end-to-end solution from architecture and structural design to the design of precast concrete elements in the future.

It is also important for me to thank you for being involved here in this customer forum. And not only that you do it, but also explicitly how you do it. We are convinced that this forum stands out pleasantly from many other forums on the Internet. That is because of you, the ALLPLAN users. With a constructive and helpful mentality - from user for user. Please keep up the good work.

And perhaps you have noticed: we are also becoming increasingly involved here. Our product management is reading along. And although the forum is not a support channel (for support and important feedback on the program, please contact our support as usual), your input is important to us for future developments.

I would now like to wish you all happy and relaxing holidays and a happy new year, and stay healthy!

Detlef Schneider
