I have created a 3d section (free section observed from an isometric view) of my not-so-complicated model. If I select to "consider transparency" in the section properties and the drawing file with the section viewport is active, the performance impact is huge. I guess the rendering time (refresh) of the working viewports is affected, noticable after every minor change/edit/use of tool in the project.
The video card is GTX 1080 (8GB) with "studio" drivers and I use the OpenGl API.
I would like your opinion on this issue:
- Is this behaviour expected for 3d sections due to the not so powerful GPU?
- Is it possible that the drivers are not installed correctly?
- Why transparency in particular generates such issue? (If it is turned off in the section properties then the issue goes away.)

[Frage] 3D Section generation with transparency causes very slow working response.
The way Allplan reads data, often creates quite a complexity in layers and numbers of lines.
1. Try to limit the amount of sections or views in one drawing file
2. try to output an appropriate level of detail on a certain view for the inserted objects.
3. transparency does affect size of the insert immediately, yes.
I'm looking for a way to create more intelligent or even dumber, less detailed objects, for plans above a scale of 1-50 / 1-100.
The amount of time saved could be large because already, creating 2D foils of objects renders quicker output but at least is helps if done right.
Then again, that exactly is the question: how to do it properly to ensure processing speed. No manual on that.
More users to encounter their problems can allways share their perspective.
Thanks in advance!
