is there any way I can count surface area of an 3d object?
For example if I want to measure one side of the 3d object.

mariaklatik, you can use command "Unfold Shell" in Bonus Tools to create a polyline flattened from a 3D Object face, then create a 3D Surface from polyline and finally use Measure -> Area to obtain the surface area.

Dear Mariaklatik,

Did you find out your anwser.

The point is it depend if you want it for 3D objet or for Architectural element.

For architectural element, it's possible to define rules by asking the face area (NETO or BRUTO) or to calculate it by using standard attribut like lenght, height, thickness.

You can use report to see any value you need. Some report exist with all datas.

But for a 3D object, it's different because, there is no main surface that you can define and ask the area. You can get the volume and some other value but not the area for one side.

Let us know if this help you.

Bye & Good Use!
