TLDR
- Improved tooltip for checking value quickly.
- Watchlist for checking value at a central place.
- Support lists with multiple levels.
- Provide some additional information for some data types
As some of you may already notice, that we improved the tooltip for ports on a node in Allplan 2022-0-7. It allows you to check details about its value. For some data types, it also provides some additional information.
If you want to have a central place to watch parameter value, you can try the new watchlist. It is currently hidden in VS, as we still need to polish that feature. But if you want to try, you can add the registry key to reveal it in VS Editor. Check the screenshot below.
To watch a parameter on the watchlist, click on that watch button on the tooltip.
You can also rename the node on the canvas to make it easier to follow on the watchlist.
Some known issues:
- If a list has more than 1000 items, it's index (those larger than 999) won't display correctly due to limited space.
- Some parameter value on the watchlist isn't updated automatically. In this case, please start the script again to fix it.
- Not all types of data will give a meaningful result.
We will continue to improve this feature. Please leave a comment if you have any suggestions. (such as how the tooltip or the watchlist should display one specific data type XD)
Recent Files
Furthermore, we also introduced a small but nice feature to allow users to load a recently opened script. It can store up to 10 files and only shows the filename on the list. If you have multiple files with the same name, you can still check the full path in the tooltip.
