Allplan Forum: IFC Export : Attribute remapper works incorrectly

Hi all,

The Atributte/paramater remapper of "IFC export tool" doesn't works correctly. When we remap some attribute/parameter in "IFC Exporter", in the exported IFC, the source parameter is erased.

I upload:

- A video
- A zip file, that contains the IFCs showed in the video
- A screenshots of the video

You already recognized it correctly. The attributes are written elsewhere without a copy. The "Codetext" attribute is used for the type and disappears as soon as you write the attribute somewhere else.

Exactly. We think that this is not the correct workflow of "Attribut remapper" of Allplan IFC Export Tool. We think that the workflow of the "Attribut remapper" of Allplan IFC Export Tool always must copy the values, on the required parameter, and also it must export in IFC the "source" parameter and value.

The correct remap process (copy, not move) allows to:
- Assurance and mainteain quality of IFC schema about standard IFC 2x3 and IFC 4
- Create specific Psets from client requirements, without disassemble IFC schema of IFC file.

You're right. In this case, company-internal attributes could be created, which could only be transferred to a separate tab.
