Draw walls with a angle ( sloping wall )

Schlagworte:

Is there any way to draw a wall and define the angle of the wall? The wall will folow a angled slope at the bottom and a fixed hight at the top.

Hello mat_pav,

A long time ago, we allready had this kind of request in the forum.

In my opinion, the only way is to define a profil geometry and than use it to draft your wall with the Advanced tool 'wall with customised profil'.

I give you link to the previous topic.

Thanx for the answer but thats bot what im looking for. I would like to meke the top of the wall horizontal but the bottom must also folow the botom slope angled shape.

Hello mat_pav,

Sorry if i didn't understand correctly. If the top is fix and the bottom will go up along a slope, than you can't use a profil geometry.

This profil geometry is only usable if the profile is fix or will resesed proportionnaly. So it's not your case.

At the moment, in my opinion, the only possibility is to use the 3D modeleur, than you can create your model without any problem.

HINT: you can do it by create 2 sections, one first section on the start with bigger size and a second section on the end point with the smaller size. And you can use the tool "LOFT" which will joint few sections together.

Please find an example below.

Thats the right solution. Can you make a video tutorial how to do this?

Thank you

Hello mat_pav,

Sorry i can't make a tutorial video becasue it will keep me a lot of time.

But i will explain the idea:

In my example, i made 2 case, depending of what you want at the end.

Case 1 (left):
In this one, the profil stay the same, it's just the bottom which goes up.

Case 2 (right):
In this one, the profile is not the same at start and end point a long the direction:

In the 2 case, you can follow the process as below:

How to:

1°) Define the section in 2D or 3D for the case you want: You can directly create a 3D surface for each section (profil geomtry). see capture 1

2°) Than move the second profile with the first profile as based to have a parallel distance between correct as you want (for example 4m). see capture 2

3°) Now use the tool 'Loft' to join the 2 section as one 3D volume. see capture 3
