Allplan Forum: sliding doors/windows

Hi all

I'd like to know how do you make sliding doors/windows (see the attached files).
In the "Smart Windows and Door Symbols" feature we can create a double door/window with a sliding symbol at the casement, but the 2D and 3D representation is wrong, as both leafs are at the same plane. In sliding doors/windows we have 2 paralel leafs, they dont lay in the say plane.
I can't find sliding doors/windows at Allplan Library, so I tried to make a smart symbol, but the frame thickness will change with the door/window width, and it must remain constant. I guess I should use constraints, but this process is very confusing and the Allplan Help doesn't cover that issue.
Is there a tutorial or a step by step guide to make this?

The best way to have a good sliding bay is to use a macro.
Some are available in the French content maned DataExpress.
Unfortunately, this content is not available on Connect for Allplan 2013.
Then, you find as attached file the file with the sliding bays.
Put it in your "Extern" folder and use the Project Pilot to add these macros to yours.

I downloaded the file and put it in the Extern folder, but I can't see it in Project Pilot

You're right.
I forgotten to say that you need to add a folder "objekt" in the Extern folder.
Then, in this folder "objekt", you have to create a sub-folder with the name you want.
And now, you can put the file "om000000.000" in this last folder...
Well, in your Windows explorer you have:
Extern
--Objekt
-----SubFolder
--------om000000.000

And now, you can load it by the Project Pilot.

You can get more nice ideas by watching some practical examples. Some of the builders are very good. To read more go to builders website .
