[Question] Anchorage length calculation in beams

Hi everyone,

During a review of the Automated Reinforcement python parts a question came to mind, how do you calculate (define) the anchorage length of the top bar in beams?

Currently you can define it by:
- the horizontal segment as anchorage length defined by distance
- vertical segment as a hook defined as a ratio of the diameter
(Image: Current possibilities in Beam)

My question is:
- Do you usually define it like this?
- Do you define both values as a length (not a ratio of diameter)?
(Image: User defined in 2 ways)
- Would you rather be able to define the total length?
(Image: Total length defined)

Thank you, looking forward to your feedback.

Regards,
Krisztián Virág

Hello, thank you for the answer. Would you say that the method of defining the total anchorage length (image 3) is not used that commonly? Is there any parameter missing you would like to be able to set up?
