Can Allplan update smart parts library, especial furniture 3d models for architecture because it is not updated last 4 -5 years. Due to archicad and revit it is very poor.

[Question] ALLPLAN 3D MODELS

You "must" not buy something. It's the same for other software. For all, there are free and paid contents. In Germany, there is also IBD content for Allplan for example (mainly paid with some few free elements).
The free content that you can find for Archicad or Revit comes from several ways:
- manufacturers pay companies like BIMobject to create their own objects, mainly as "fixed" objects,
- users made objects (as they want...) and share them on internet platforms (and mainly you need to adjust them to meet your needs).
As you said, creating object costs a lot. No other software vendor create the content because it is an infinite work. Allplan tried few years ago and it was very hard to define what is needed and how to be profitable...
We can say that Allplan is only a main tool and all the skills and specific needs for your daily work should be brought by your team and some complementary partners.
You're right Brada. But I think it's an easly overcome issue. You can insert, for example, 3D models from 3D warehouse of sketchup and transform them into smart objects if you want. Allplan is very flexible about that.

i agree with you. But it need time to find models, made of them smart part and time is money. Lots of insertion from sketchup is white and you need to spend a lot of time to made them good. This is a professional program with unprofessional update of the smart parts and 3d objects. I am not satisfied with this especially because they are owner of archicad.
Yeah. But the development of the software is separated and the "nature" of the objects I think is totally different between the 2 (so not so easy to made them interoperable).
In my little experience the main part of the main part of the RFA (for example) IMHO are so useless cause are not much more than a normal 3D model with a little of info (only few of them are adaptive) . Nothing compared to a smartpart/python part (adaptive, complex with a proper editable mask, info etc..)

Hi Brada,
Yes, you are right: time is money! Creating SmartParts spend time (I know it very well), it's why I created wizYsmart and I spend time to develop objects.
What kind of furniture do you would like?
I planned to add some soon.
For your information, Allplan is not owner of Archicad, it's Nemetschek Group.
For Archicad and Revit, the objects are not made by the editor of the sofware but by independant companies (as mine, but often really bigger than mine ;) ).
I hope you could find what you expect in wizYsmart now and in the future... Feel free to contact me.
Exactly. Totally agree with Bertrand. I suggest you to try his smartparts they are really cool! And I suggest you also another smart part developer, Giorgio Antrone, with his App Easy solution: https://www.app-easy.it/index.php?lang=it

but with this program is not 100°% functional. When i buy licence architecture i didn't know i will must buy add-ons for the furniture.
I just open the topic because it nothing happening on this field for more then 10 years. If you buy archicad you dont need to buy add ons for 3d furniture and in the future it will be problem for Allplan because lots of architect will transfer their offices to other programs.
For me as a user and owner of 5 licence in my office is not acceptable

i didnt buy something. I buy specific program which i using for a decade (especial engineering). I only said if someone selling program called architecture it must provide user to use this program without anz addons. This is for me as user a big problem and allplan mangers must do something on this field. take the situation that you buy car without tyres :-).
For architects it a bit of problem on quick presentation for clients, if you are not using lumion, sketchup and other programs you can not do it. Whats the point????
but thanks for your opinion and addons.
