Error "Document size you set is reached!" [Solved]

Dear all,

I'm currently facing a problem where Allplan suddenly stops working, and a message shows up saying "The document size you set is reached!". When you click OK, some parts of your drawings disappear, which is quite odd and disturbing.

The maximum document size allowed is set, which is 512 MB. Allplan minimum requirements test was also run, and it shows that computer is fine with respect to RAM memory, processor and with the graphic's driver.

Additionally, "Save and Compress" command doesn't solve the problem. Sometimes it may happen even if small sized documents are opened.

Computer settings:
- Windows 10 64-bits, Core i7-7500U, 9.20 GHz, RAM memory 8 GB
Allplan settings:
- Allplan 2015 in workgroup mode. Other computers in workgroup mode working perfectly fine.

We finally found out that the problem was with the license network. Each time the network was down, the program had the 100% problem. We are working to get a better network for the license so the problem doesn't happen again.

Thanks for your time, JP.

Hi ttomaz,

Here is what I would do in such case:
- Check if all workstations have same release of Allplan 2015 installed. Last is 2015-1-12. Only after 2015-1-10, Windows 10 are officially supported.
- Perform hotline tool / cleanup and restart the program

Check

- Perform hotline tool / cleastd and restart the program. This Will delete all Options settings for selected user. Before you perform cleanstd ,you can save current settings with savestd and restore it with reststd.

Check

- Switch from normal user to administrator (Start Allplan as win admin)

Check

- Disable antivirus )

JP

Hi JP,

First of all, thank you for your answer

I went through your list: Allplan version is 2015-1-12, cleanup/cleanstd/opening as admin didn't make any difference, we unistalled all antivirus.

Still have any more ideas? I have also noticed this happens only when Allplan reaches 100% in the right bottom, and that does not have anything to deal with the computer CPU/memory usage. I'm still investigating, but found no solution.

ttomaz

Hi ttomaz,

The 100% at right bottom is connected to doc size set in Services. There are several possibilities (and combinations) why this can happen.

To better understand what are you doing with Allplan, please describe:
- Are you working with asociative views and sections?
- Are you working with imported DWG files (with many macros)?
- Are you working with terrain?
- AT which coordinates your model is?

JP

Hi there,

Answers in red.
- Are you working with asociative views and sections? Yes, we're working with 3 associative views and 6 associative sections per sheet, approximately.
- Are you working with imported DWG files (with many macros)? No. 3D elements were modelled in Allplan
- Are you working with terrain? No.
- AT which coordinates your model is? Average: x=25000, y=-2000, z=0 for 2D modelling

Best regards,
ttomaz
