Reinforcement in 3D [Solved]

Hi everyone,

Is there any way to place the reinforcement bars in the 3D or Isometric perspective view?

Thanks

Hi John4power,

In my opinion, it's not possible!

When you work in the engineering module, you allways need 2 views, one for create bars shape and a seconde one (perpendiculare view) to define the placement.

So if you work in 3D, it's combine the 2 view and the tool are not define in this way to work.

The other point is that it's not possible to select a bars in Animation mode (even by deactivate the navigation mode).

But at the end you will be able to create any free view with reinforcement, but you won't be able to work on it directly to create/add bars.

Good Use!

Hi Judy thanks for the response.

I think the only possible way is to draw in 3D space a 3D polyline or 3D Spline (in 2016 you need to convert the spline to convert/polygonize the line) and then use the "convert, match elements" tool in the engineering palette which converts your 3D line into a rebar

Hi john4power,

It's true, you can do that for specific form of bars that can't be done on a plane view.

I mean when you have bars which is working realy in 3D so in fiew direction/plan like a bars of a consol from a column.

But i will say it's less flexible as current tool.
